Okay, here goes. I'm a veterinarian. I just accepted a position as an Anatomic Pathology resident at Columbia University. I will be working with Nobel Prize winners. I find this both intimidating and incredibly exciting.
I have one cat. Her name is Catherine and she is 10 years old. She looks like a miniature Holstein (white with black spots) and is featured in one of my userpics. She is fantastic, and I love her even when she vomits on my carpet.
I have been told that none of my userpics look anything like me. So, if you see someone on the street who looks exactly like one of them, it probably isn't me.
In early March, 05, my mom died after a six-month battle with pancreatic cancer. I'll probably write about her intermittently, as I process what it's like to not have her around anymore. If you're catching vague references about missing "her", I'm almost definitely talking about Mom.
